Fishing Has Been Fantastic

What a week it has been here in the Florida Keys. The flats fishing has been on fire this winter! The big bones have shown up in huge numbers and the juvenile tarpon are holding in the backcountry. On the big tides there’s been good permit fishing and barracuda are filling in.

This last week we’ve been having luck on all species. At sunrise I’m hunting rolling tarpon, and transitioning to bonefish and permit fishing in the afternoons. It seems as if everything is in play.

The cold front last night will slow things down the next few days, but it looks like it’s going to shape up by this weekend, and fire off again next week!
